Terms of service

• Utah Aura lists events and sells tickets for the hosts who run them. We are not the organizer of any event.
• When you RSVP or buy a ticket, your place is with the host. The host decides what happens at the event and is responsible for it.
• You need to be 18 or older to have an account. Each host says who its events are for.
• The fee on a paid ticket is shown before you pay. Each event's refund policy is shown before you pay and stays fixed for your order.
• You take part in an event at your own risk. Whether a breathwork session, a dance or a cold plunge is right for you is your call, with your doctor.
• Utah law applies, and a dispute goes to the courts in Salt Lake County, Utah.

Utah Aura is run by Utah Aura LLC, a Utah limited liability company ("Utah Aura", "we", "us"). You can reach us at info@utahaura.com.

These terms, the Host terms (for anyone who publishes here) and the Privacy policy together are the agreement. By creating an account, RSVPing, buying a ticket or otherwise using the site, you accept them. If you don't want to, please don't use the site.

Utah Aura is a listing and ticketing platform. Hosts, meaning wellness centers, practitioners and collectives, publish their events here, take RSVPs and sell tickets. Every host is independent of us.

We do not organize, run, lead, supervise or provide any event, class, ceremony, retreat, session or service listed on the site, and the people who lead them do not work for us. When you buy a ticket, the host is the seller. Utah Aura collects the payment on the host's behalf, as the host's limited agent for that payment, and the money goes to the host's own Stripe account. A payment made to us this way counts as a payment to the host.

We don't check a host's qualifications, licenses, insurance, or the safety of their venue. A "Verified" mark on a host's page means we have confirmed that the host is who they say they are. It is not a recommendation.

• You need to be 18 or older to create an account or buy a ticket.
• Give us accurate details and keep them current. Sign-in is by a link we email you or by your Google account, so keep both to yourself: everything done under your account is yours, and you should tell us if someone else has used it.
• One account per person. You can run any number of practices, centers or collectives from it under the Host terms.
• We may close an account that breaks these terms. You can ask us to delete yours at any time; the Privacy policy says what we keep and why.

• An RSVP holds a place at a free event for you and the guests you name. A host may set a capacity and a cutoff. If your plans change, cancel your RSVP so someone else can come.
• A ticket is a pass to one date of one event, in the name of the person who will use it. Each pass carries a QR code that admits one person once. You can send a pass to a guest, and it becomes theirs. If you change the email on a pass, the old code stops working and the new one takes its place.
• Each host says who an event is for. Where an event is open to people under 18, a parent or legal guardian buys the ticket, holds it, is responsible for the minor, and comes along unless the host says otherwise.
• A host may move a date or cancel it. We tell you by email at the address on your order or RSVP. Refunds for a cancelled date are covered below.
• What a host writes about an event is the host's own. Read it, and write to the host with any question before you book.
• Some events are listed with a link to the host's own site. Booking there is between you and the host, under whatever terms they set.

• Ticket prices are set by the host, in US dollars.
• On a paid ticket we add the Utah Aura fee, shown as its own line before you pay. Today it is 3% of the ticket price plus $1 per ticket, or plus 50 cents on a ticket under $20. RSVPs and free tickets carry no fee. Some hosts, nonprofits for example, have the fee waived, and their events show no fee line. We may change the fee; the amount shown before you pay is what you pay.
• Card processing is handled by Stripe. Usually the host covers it. Some hosts pass it on, and then it appears as a "Card processing" line before you pay.
• The total you see before you pay is the total charged to your card.

• Every ticketed event shows its refund policy before you pay: how long before the start you can cancel, or that it offers no refunds. The policy shown when you buy is the one that applies to your order, even if the host changes it later.
• Inside the window, "Request a refund" on your pass refunds you right away. You get the ticket price back; the Utah Aura fee and card processing are not refundable, because you undid the sale. If the host passed card processing on to you, that is not refunded either.
• Outside the window, or when an event offers no refunds, your request goes to the host, who may say yes or no. A no is final on the site, though you can still write to the host.
• If the host cancels a date, you get everything back, fee and card processing included. The host refunds you. If they have not within 5 days, Utah Aura may refund you on the host's behalf, from the host's funds.
• Once a host has been paid out for an event (normally 5 days after it, sometimes earlier), refunds are between you and the host.
• A refund goes back to the card you paid with. Stripe usually takes 5 to 10 business days to show it.
• Please write to the host, or to us, before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback on a ticket that was used, or already refunded, may lead us to close your account.

Many of the events on Utah Aura are physical, or intense, or both: breathwork, yoga, ecstatic dance, sound baths, cold and heat, fasting, long ceremonies, hikes. You decide whether an event is right for you. Before taking part, check with your doctor if you have a health condition, are pregnant or take medication; tell the host anything they should know; follow the host's instructions; and stop if you feel unwell.

You take part at your own risk. To the fullest extent Utah law allows, you accept the risks of any event you attend, and you agree that Utah Aura is not responsible for injury, illness, loss or damage that happens at or because of an event, or for anything a host or another attendee does or fails to do. Your claims, if you have any, are against the host. Nothing here limits a right the law gives you that cannot be limited.

What you put on the site stays yours: your profile, your photos, and, as a host, your pages and events. You give us permission to show it on the site, in our emails and in link previews, for as long as it is here.

• Post only what you have the right to post. That includes photos of other people, someone else's words, and lyrics.
• Be accurate. Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't claim a license or credential you don't hold.
• Don't harass, threaten or deceive anyone, and don't post anything unlawful.

Anyone can report an event or a page, and we read every report. We may remove content, unpublish a page or suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will say why when we do.

• Respect the people and the traditions you meet here, and name lineages the way their carriers do.
• Don't resell a ticket for more than you paid. Don't use bots, scrapers or anything else that reads the site other than as a person would.
• Don't interfere with the site, other people's accounts, or a host's door.

What we collect, who sees it and how to have it deleted is in the Privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

We keep the site up as best we can, but it may be unavailable now and then, sections may be switched on or off, and features may change. To the extent the law allows, the site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise that an event will take place, be as described, or suit you.

To the fullest extent Utah law allows, Utah Aura LLC's total liability to you for anything arising from the site or these terms is limited to the greater of the Utah Aura fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100. Ticket prices go to hosts, not to us. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits. Where a law does not allow one of these limits, it applies as far as it can.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Write to us first; most things are sorted out by email. If a dispute cannot be, it goes to the state or federal courts in Salt Lake County, Utah, and both of us agree to those courts. Each side pays its own costs unless a court decides otherwise.

We may update these terms. When a change matters, we say so on the site or by email before it takes effect, and using the site after that is accepting it. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
